This reefer vessel, 137 meters in length caught fire of the port of Casablanca, Morocco. Initially the crew tried to extinguish the engine fire by own means. SMIT Salvage was contracted under the Lloyd’s Open Form to fight the fire. The salvage team safely towed the vessel to Lisbon, where the fire was totally extinguished by portable fire fighting equipment.
